Game Sizing

Postby Iron1386 » Fri Aug 18, 2017 7:33 pm

So the main screen on bf1942 only shows half of it on my monitor, but turns normal once i get onto a server. As well as the font being extremely hard to read no matter the size, and in the vehical. How should I put this, when you're in fps mode say inside the tank, it will show the inside as well as the surrounding area outside (think a square in the middle of the screen with the inside of the tank, but outside that square i can still see the desert and everything as if i was in fps on foot.) I have literally tried everything I found on the internet to fix this as well as resizing in the files. Has anyone else run into this problem? Windows 7 with a 1360x768 monitor size. Thanks in advance.

I'm using Windows 7 on 1360x768 for both my Win7 desktop and within the game. I've not witnessed what you've experienced relating to the inside of the vehicle view, but I've seen the half load up screen before - this is now guesswork from me as it was a long time ago - do you have a dual screen windows desktop setup?, if so make it 1 with no other screen priorities or disabled attached screens or different resolutions. Is it your graphics driver at fault? Or can you try your system with a different graphics card?

Have you had 1942 working OK on that exact same system in the past?

If you've not looked at this place its got reference and settings for widescreen stuff. http://www.widescreengaming.net/wiki/Battlefield_1942

There's a download on this site which includes the widescreen fix.

Which video card are you using and Is it overclocked? Dual video cards?
