I fear we may have reached the end of the line for the aX server.

At about 10:00 AM Eastern time March 28, 2018, the server went down. Some two hours later, it is still down.

This is an incredibly uncommon event with this server. It almost never crashes.

Although far and away the most populated of the remaining 1942 servers, this server .. particularly .. sat in a perilous position. We could not contact the owner -ssk- ... to either add more admins, alter the map rotation or implement any special events. In addition, the admins we did have are limited in their capabilities.

If some catastrophic event was to occur, it would be impossible to reboot .. or restart .. the server for a reset. Because we cannot contact the owner of the server.

Here's hoping for the best ...

True, we can only hope it'll get back but anything's possible. The server could have had something happen and the owners SSK might not be active or care about 1942 anymore.

Perhaps not.

Maybe it was a sneak preview of Easter .. disappearing in to a tomb for three hours .. and then rising from the dead.

I can imagine a pimp and a crack dealer discussing the price of rock and poon-tang in between in depth analysis of rumors about a BF42 server in Slovakia.
